Departments & Positions

  • Command (Primary Manifest)

The (CO) is the senior command of the ship. Often titled ‘Captain-Owners’ based upon the commonality that the CO is also a part or complete owner of the ship. The Commanding Officer has ultimate authority over the ship and is usually given wide latitude to run the unit as he/she/it sees fit, within the bounds of contract and some Federation laws. In this respect, Commanding Officers have significant responsibilities (for example, the use of force, finances, equipment, and holding to the contract), duties (to higher authority, mission effectiveness, care of personnel) and powers (for example, discipline and punishment of personnel within limits of the individual and contractual law).
